Keep Mulch Away From Your Siding: A Small Step That Prevents Big Pest Problems
Most homeowners don’t think twice about where mulch ends and siding begins. Here’s why that 6-inch gap is one of the simplest pest prevention moves you can make.
Mulch is one of the most useful things you can put in a garden bed — it retains moisture, regulates soil temperature, suppresses weeds, and improves the look of any planting. The problem isn’t mulch itself. The problem is where it ends up.
